Galanthus plicatus 'Rainbow Pot of Gold'
Description
Relatively tall, the flowers are held well above the splayed, semi-prostrate leaves on sturdy scapes. The inner mark comprises a yellow U pointed in the middle. The ovary is a more greenish yellow and is distinguished from many other yellow forms by having longitudinal ridges rather than being smooth. As with many other similar forms the best yellow colour is seen when the plant is grown in a sunny position. A very vigorous plant that bulks up well. A seedling from a yellow snowdrop that we found growing on the roadside near the village of Babraham in Cambridgeshire.
